Researchers in Geneva have observed what happens in an angry brain, and even in a vengeful one! Among the brain areas active during the genesis of anger, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex plays a crucial role in emotional regulation. The more it is activated at the moment of anger, the less likely the person concerned is to retaliate afterwards.
