What is the purpose of a violence medicine unit?

What do we do when we are the target of violence in the street, at work or at home? Who can we turn to to report the physical and psychological damage? In the canton of Vaud, all victims of violence, from the age of 16 upwards, can turn to the Unité de médecine des violences.
