Water pollution underestimated

When it comes to river pollution, short-lived concentration peaks are vastly underestimated. Researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG), by analyzing various sources on a quasi-continuous basis, obtained pesticide pollution levels up to 170 times greater than the average concentrations analyzed in the traditional way.
