Software for low-cost genome analysis

To analyze genetic predispositions to certain diseases, thousands of human genomes have to be compared with each other. These quantities of data require enormous computational efforts, which are very expensive. A team from the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and the University of Lausanne has just developed software to perform these analyses at lower cost.
