A record number of tick-borne encephalitis cases in Switzerland this year

At the end of July, 332 cases of verno-summer meningoencephalitis (VSME) had already been reported in Switzerland. This is the highest number since 2000, and cases of tick-borne encephalitis are expected to reach record levels this year.
