Prostitution - the other side of the street

In Switzerland, prostitution is legal. Sex workers (SWs) register with the police, work independently and therefore pay taxes and social security contributions. But because of the taboo surrounding sexuality in general and sex work in particular, prostitutes often hide their activity from their families and continue to be stigmatized in many areas.
