Olympic Games: good for Switzerland?

Switzerland hasn't hosted an Olympic Games since 1948. That's far too long for winter sports enthusiasts. Two Swiss bids were launched for the 2026 Olympics, but after Graubünden's popular rejection, only the project bringing together Valais, Vaud, Fribourg and Bern, with Sion as host city, remains. So is it a unifying project? Can the Games breathe new life into winter tourism? Or is it a sinkhole of millions that taxpayers will have to mop up?
