New rail pads to reduce rail noise

Holger Frauenrath, head of EPFL's Organic and Macromolecular Materials Laboratory, was on the RTS microphone to talk about the new "Rail pads" currently under development. Inserted between rails and concrete sleepers, these plastic pieces aim to reduce rail noise.
