New discovery for superconductivity
Légende
A team of researchers from Switzerland, the USA and Poland, have achieved a breakthrough that could revolutionize superconductivity. Studying metal hydrides based on hydrogen, zirconium and vanadium, the scientists observed that the distance between hydrogen atoms was smaller than expected (1.6 angstroms instead of the expected 2.1). This tiny difference could thus open up new avenues in fields such as magnetic levitation for transport.
