Microbial life at the foot of the world's glaciers

Exploring the streams of the world's largest glaciers for 4 years is the mission a team of EPFL researchers is tackling for a project starting August 1, 2018. Their mission: to harvest microorganisms and extract their DNA to understand how they have adapted to their extreme environment.
