Increase in migrant arrivals at Switzerland's eastern border

The number of migrants arriving at Switzerland's eastern border is rising sharply. On average, 700 people pass through the Buchs railway station in the canton of St. Gallen every week, at least three times as many as last winter. Most of these people are merely transiting through Switzerland.
