Homosexuality: the end of ghettos?

Gay clubs and bars in French-speaking metropolises are closing one after the other. Stigmatized as ghettos, "gayfriendly" venues seem to have gone out of fashion. So what has changed? And what vectors of socialization remain for people who don't recognize themselves in heteronormativity?
