Gymnastics: the other side of the coin

Climate of fear, training to the point of exhaustion, insults, mobbing, anorexia and bulimia...testimonies from some former rhythmic gymnasts at the national center in Magglingen have brought to light a system where athletes were totally under the lʹemprise of their coaches. Since then, the Swiss Gymnastics Federation has conducted an investigation and completely overhauled the coaching system at Magglingen. What was the background to gymnasts putting their physical and mental health at risk? Who among the families, doctors and training colleagues should have sounded the alarm?
