The German Church in the face of Nazism

In 1933, when Hitler came to power, Germany had a population of around 60 million. Almost all were Christian, and the Jewish community represented less than one percent of the population. The role of the Protestant churches and the community of pastors was durably marked by the rise of Nazism.
