Fine particles in the placenta

Soot present in polluted air reaches the placenta of pregnant women. That's the announcement made by British researchers at the European Respiratory Society Congress in Paris. They are not certain whether these particles are also found in the foetus. In any case, if the placenta is affected, this will have an impact on the fetus.
