Feeling the temperature in a phantom limb

LʹÉcole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne and the Scuola SantʹAnna, in Pisa, Italy, have developed a new bionic technology that allows arm amputees to sense the temperature of objects, whether hot or cold, directly with their phantom hand.
