Failed eruptions at the origin of copper deposits

Understanding the formation of copper deposits is the subject of a study carried out at the University of Geneva. It reveals the rather peculiar origin of the largest deposits, which are thought to be aborted volcanic eruptions. This research should make it possible to better target copper ore deposits.
