Europe, towards a return to borders?

The word "border" had gradually disappeared from the European vocabulary, but it's making a scathing comeback, due to the influx of migrants. Austria has announced that it will erect a fence on its border with Slovenia, a first in the Schengen area. Can we speak of the return of borders and a weakening of the European project?
