Elms: a journey from Crete to Switzerland
Légende
Botanists at the University of Fribourg take a closer look at the elm family, a quarter of whose species are threatened. In Crete, the ancestral elm Zelkova Abelicea survives despite high seed sterility, while in Switzerland, the smooth elm finds its habitat along watercourses. This study aims to understand and preserve these species in the face of climate and environmental change.
