The largest collection of wild bees in Switzerland is being built up at the Muséum dʹhistoire naturelle in Neuchâtel. 40,000 specimens will be collected in order to draw up an inventory of these populations and publish a red list of threatened species. 30 to 40% of wild bee species are threatened with extinction in the country.
