Electric cars, an ecological utopia?

The day after tomorrow, electric cars will probably replace gasoline-powered cars. Politicians around the world are supporting this transition in the belief that it will limit greenhouse gas emissions. However, a recent American study shows that a small gasoline-powered city car, in its life cycle (manufacture, use, destruction) is less polluting in terms of CO2 than a Tesla driving in the U.S.
