Elections, a signal of Swiss mistrust of Europe?

The Swiss people have voted in favor of the SVP in the federal elections. A party that is highly critical of the European Union and wants to reverse Switzerland's accession to the European Convention on Human Rights. Is this a sign of mistrust of Europe on the part of Swiss citizens?
