The death of telephone booths in Swiss communities is announced

The Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) has put out to consultation a revision of the ordinance that defines Swisscom's universal service provision. From 2018, Swiss communes should no longer be obliged to offer their residents at least one payphone.
