De Staël/Constant: the spirit of freedom

"Lʹannée 2017 will be marked by an exceptional double anniversary, as lʹon will commemorate both the bicentenary of the death of Germaine de Staël (Paris, July 14, 1817) and the 250th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Constant (Lausanne, October 25, 1767).
