Connected objects: friends and foes?

They're everywhere! From bracelets to watches, from baby monitors to children's toys, from smartphones to televisions, from cars to cat collars, from voice assistants to coffee machines, useful connected objects make our lives easier and quickly become indispensable. But they also open a gaping door to our privacy in the event of insufficient or faulty security.
