Colon cancer: when lipids can predict treatment efficacy

Colon cancer is most often asymptomatic and therefore regularly diagnosed at an advanced stage. At this stage, tumors become progressively insensitive to chemotherapies and even develop resistance. A team from the University of Geneva has identified lipid species that will make it possible to predict possible resistance to chemotherapies and develop new treatment strategies.
