Cantonal forest nursery

The cantonal forest nursery was founded in 1960 and is located in Lattecaldo, a hamlet in Morbio Superiore. It produces forest plants of indigenous origin which are used for forestry operations, renaturation and naturalist engineering in both the public and private sectors. The cantonal nursery, as we know it today, covers an area of around 5 hectares, divided into 17 fields and a composting area capable of processing 500 tonnes of plant waste per year.
