Beneath the cassock, lʹhomme

In a society that increasingly questions the qualities and roles of both sexes, masculinity in particular is being called into question, and the religious world is no exception. Celibacy perceived as toxic, denunciation of repeated scandals hushed up by the lʹinstitution, spectacular coming out at the Vatican. But also refusal to ordain women, political struggles against "marriage for all". The masculine figure of the Catholic priest is wavering, in democracies that question gender and sexuality ever more intensely.
