Assessment: HPV vaccination for young girls

HPV, or human papillomavirus, is known to promote the development of cervical cancer. In 2008, the canton of Vaud launched a prevention campaign offering all teenage girls aged 11 to 14 the chance to be vaccinated if they wished. Almost ten years on, we take the temperature of this initiative.
