Anti-French sentiment

We share the same language and part of our culture. And yet we love to criticize them. To mock their supposed arrogance, their political system, their way of speaking, so well, too fast. They are so close, and yet so far away. Iʹai named: people of French nationality. Why this "French bashing"?
