When religion doesn't tell the whole story about Muslims

Wanting to circumscribe questions about Islam in Switzerland through a religious prism proves both limited and unsurpassable. Firstly, because the majority of Muslims in Switzerland are non-practicing, or not very practicing. On the other hand, whether practicing or not, people from a Muslim tradition will very often remain perceived under the identity marker of religion.
