An ultra-fast laser for probing matter

A researcher at the University of Neuchâtel has just developed a laser that is twice as powerful as anything previously available. This is particularly interesting for observing, in a dynamic way, what happens in certain very rapid chemical or physical interactions. It could, for example, help us understand the structure of water.
