Science, media and democracy: the test of truth

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the idea of a common truth, backed up by the facts, seems to be increasingly crumbling. Thirty percent of Swiss people would agree with the theory of a laboratory-developed coronavirus. Conspiracy theories are flourishing: scientific, political or media discourse is regarded as misleading by a section of the population.
