The return to normal weather brings a sharp upsurge in winter childhood illnesses

The pediatric emergency department of the University Hospitals of Geneva counted 2967 consultations over the month of May, up 19.5% on 2019. Diseases kept at bay during the winter by sanitary measures are making an unexpected comeback in the middle of summer.
