New recommendations for the treatment of HIV infections

The International Antiviral Society has published new recommendations for HIV treatment and prevention. These guidelines, which incorporate recent advances in research, place particular emphasis on care for HIV-positive pregnant women. They also propose updated approaches to managing co-infections, reducing treatment side effects, and improving access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
