Memory prefers substance to form

Researchers at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and CY Cergy Paris Université reveal that our memory favors substance over form when it comes to relating a current situation to a past one. The study thus debunks the received idea that our memory is guided by the principle of ease, and that surface features dominate evocation.
