Jacques Berchtold, Director Martin Bodmer Foundation

Jacques Berchtold, born in Geneva, is a Swiss professor and writer. Professor of 18th-century French literature at lʹUniversité Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris (2001-2008), he was awarded a chair in the same discipline at lʹUniversité de Paris-Sorbonne (2008-2014). Since January 2018, he has been a full professor at the University of Geneva.
