Increase in orthopaedic operations

The number of orthopedic operations has risen sharply over the past ten years in Switzerland, according to figures from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). Between 2003 and 2012, the number of knee and hip replacements rose by 31%. The reasons are many and differ according to point of view.
