Incest, the silences of history: An investigation in French-speaking Switzerland

Incest has been punishable under the Swiss penal code since 1942. The moral condemnation is clear and strong at first glance, but the acceptance of the victims' word has remained precarious in the face of the dominant figure of the father and head of the family who is very often guilty of the crime.
