Impaired social interaction in autism

Disorders linked to autism manifest themselves in different ways. But one thing most patients have in common is difficulty communicating and living in society. The neurobiological mechanisms that cause this difficulty have just been discovered. They are rooted in poor communication between neurons located in our brain's reward system.
