The glacial evolution of the Alps over 120,000 years in 80 seconds

The scientific team from the Universities of Lausanne, Bern and Zürich has just published a video depicting the evolution of the Alps' glacier cover over the last 120,000 years. The video, which took six years to produce, is the result of close collaboration between climatologists, glaciologists and geologists. It is described as the most accurate simulation to date.
