"The first patient": in the shoes of a physician assistant

The book "Le premier patient" (Favre, 2023) tells the story of Lila, a young doctor starting out in her first hospital assistant post. The novel describes her anxieties, her struggles to save her patients, her confrontation with a not always benevolent hierarchy and a sometimes Kafkaesque administration, her long days, but also, gradually, confidence in her abilities.
