Expo 64: Waking up Switzerland

On April 30, 1964, the 5th Swiss National Exhibition, Expo 64, opened in Lausanne. It's a place of memory in itself for Switzerland, because those who visited it sometimes several times still remember it, because at a time when Switzerland has fewer than 6 million inhabitants, Expo 64 attracted 12 million visitors. Expo 64 was successful entertainment, but it also raised many questions for Switzerland and its people, questions that are still being asked of us today.
