Citizen science: a valuable collaboration or a fad?

From June 3 to 6, Geneva will be the world capital of citizen science. 4 days of debates, meetings with actors of this participatory science that tries to put the citizen at the center of scientific debates and research. Can citizens become scientists for a weekend? Can they replace the expert?
