Charlie Hebdo: murdering the sacred!

By massacring several cartoonists from the satirical periodical, the killers clearly targeted freedom of expression and opinion, one of the sacred values of Western democracies. But beyond the mad gesture, is this tragedy the reflection - dramatic and hypertrophied - of differences of perception on the protection of religious beliefs and feelings?
