Every year, 20,000 people in Switzerland suffer a stroke, with varying consequences for the brain. In our special series, Armin Schnider, head physician of the neurorehabilitation department at the HUG, explores these effects. In particular, he discusses aphasia, which impacts communication, and hemineglect, where victims neglect one half of their environment.
