The United Arab Emirates announce their surprise withdrawal from OPEC as of May

Abu Dhabi will withdraw from the Saudi-led Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) as well as from the OPEC+ alliance, which also includes Russia, as of May 1, the Emirati news agency has announced.
