Teenage life with type 1 diabetes

Paul, 14, recounts how his life turned upside down on May 26, 2024, the day he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes after an emergency hospitalization. A few months of great thirst, frequent trips to the toilet and even a skiing malaise finally led to this diagnosis, experienced as a real shock for him and his parents. He discovered that he would have to live with this disease for the rest of his life, with follow-up at the University Hospitals of Geneva, at the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology Unit.
