Why do we all want ultra-white, perfectly aligned teeth? A long time ago, however, people hid their smiles, out of lack of hygiene and fear of other people's gaze. Then, in the 19ᵉ century, the smile became seductive and Hollywood made it a symbol of glamour and success. Today, whitening products are invading the market. But are they really effective? And do they carry any risks for enamel?
