Nobel Prize in Physics goes to trio working on macroscopic quantum mechanics

Three researchers have been awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics: Briton John Clarke, American John M. Martinis and Frenchman Michel H. Devoret for their publications in the 1990s. They have led to a better understanding of microscopic objects, taking quantum physics to a new, macroscopic scale.
